Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

The world feels in a word right now... frantic.

And I feel it. A collective aching. In my body. In my heart. In my mind. This morning I laid in bed not wanting to do much of anything.

Endlessly scrolling social media. Feeling both grateful and anxious about the weeks ahead.

No school until next Friday? Don't travel. Don't go to Costco - they're out of TP and there's a line a mile long. Stock up on staples and stay at home. Prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.

I wanted to pull myself away from Facebook but there I was panic scrolling.

Then it hit me. I was experiencing this odd mixture of grief, and disbelief.

And I don't think I'm alone in this.

So instead of continuing to scroll, I started to wonder what little bit of relief I could offer. I'm not a scientist, I'm not a researcher, I'm not a health expert.

I'm a photographer.

One who has been through a fair share of stress, and heartache... but one who has always looked for the bits of joy and gratitude even on the hardest days.

So.... I decided, why not create a safe space here on social media. Away from the panic, and hysteria. A place to show up as we are - fear, confusion, denial, joy, gratitude... all of it.

During times of stress, it's important to have a release. Yes, we can be vigilant and smart and informed. But, we need to buffer our stress by taking care of ourselves mentally and emotionally too.

How?

By picking up our camera. And capturing gratitude, connection, and love. By finding the good.

Because there is good in each and every day.
