My Husband was on night duty and noticed something disturbing on the baby monitor.

It was Henry trying to climb out of his crib!

We wanted to keep him in his crib for as long as possible for safety reasons but my son had his own agenda.

I went searching for the toddler bed converter set for our crib that I bought over 5 years ago and stashed for this situation. Then I ran to the store to buy a bed rail, my son LOVES to sleep pinned up against the side of his crib.

After the bed was set up we realized his room was NOT toddler proof for a child that might get up in the middle of the night. Out went the vaporizer plugged in the wall. We removed a small ladder bookshelf that looked like a fun climbing toy. Finally we realized his dresser was NOT anchored safely to the wall.

Luckily my stud of a man found a stud in our wall and Henry's dresser is no longer a safety concern.

Here is the final product of a very long afternoon...

Last night was his first night in his toddler bed and it was a huge success! How did my baby grow up so fast?
