Dear Kid,

You don't need a cape to be superman. You don't even need super powers.

If you want to be a hero, love people.

Speak life into the rejected. Sing hope into the broken hearted. Whisper healing to the hurting.

Shout to the near-dead. Shout to them of their value and their worth and how hugely they are loved.

If you want to be a hero, love them all.

Daily I pray God will make you "strong and brave." I don't mean He should give you big muscles to lift heavy things and an adventurous spirit to jump from planes and run into burning buildings.

I mean, God willing, you will be strong enough and brave enough to love people well - to love always, with everything you are, and without counting the cost.
