Wow such a fantastic topic and wonderful fresh ideas.... I am an event specialist myself, for you see I loved the idea of children's events so much I opened up my own business in the year 2000 servicing children and families with private birthday celebrations in a medieval theme castle setting www.medievalkingdom.net .... Just little old me taking on such a big task, but I am still here .. (thanks to my patrons)

The struggles of organizing and then orchestrating an event can become very challenging. There are a few easy steps I have learned. A Majority of my customers have utilized my services for one huge important factor STRUCTURE. If I can shed a little light on celebrations there are some key components in setting them off well.

1. Always organize and plan before the big SHOW (you are putting on a show)

2. Utilize your older guests(parents to the children) as assistants at your show, it is perfectly find to put them into positions. food servers, craft helpers .. this creates a smooth operations and takes the anxiety out of events. (trust me) No parent likes to feel anxious!!

3. Themes, so important -- When you theme an event it provides direction for all. Everyone will come having an idea as to what to expect at your great show, what type of gifts to purchase and of course how to dress if it is a costumed event.

4. Finally set a time limit. Children need structure and limits at all ages and PLEASE don't place the birthday child in an uncomfortable setting. The last thing you want to do is make that birthday child feel ill at ease because you have picked a theme that doesn't suit their character. Don't just pick a theme because you think its "cute" it must suit the child.

There are many little tricks to the trade that have made my services a success I hope these tips place you in a much more at ease state of mind when thinking of throwing an child's party. They really should create a memory not just chaos.... You are the Producer, Director and Play writer .. Get ready to raise the curtain for SHOWTIME!!
