Being a full time traveling family, we are always on the go and in crowded, public places. We often go to theme parks and popular tourist attractions from around the world. The question we are getting asked now? Is it safe to be traveling with the current health concern, Coronavirus or COVID-19?

Well, we are pretty diligent about our health in general and always make sure to wash our hands as often as possible with soap and water (hand sanitizer if soap and water not available). We are careful about the foods we eat and make sure we get adequate sleep.

We are thankful that our family hasn't been "sick" for a decade now. Sure, the occasional headache or sore throat here and there, but not once in the last 10 years have any of us had a cold, flu, fever or been sick enough to stop our day to day activities.

So, how do we manage it with all the traveling we do and contact with people from all over the world on a daily basis? It is really pretty simple.

  • Wash hands regularly
  • Eat REAL food
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • exercise
  • sunshine
  • fresh air

Covid-19 is no different than any of the other common viruses that we come in contact with each day, it's just something we have never seen before. The CDC recommends that you can prevent infection with proper hygiene and some common sense. Example; stay away from people who are coughing, keep fingers out of eyes, nose and mouth, and get plenty of fresh air.

So, should you be concerned about the Corona Virus? Well, yes, if you don't take care of yourself and family and use common sense hygiene practice.

Other than that, it is business as usual for this traveling family.

In fact, with all the hysteria in the media and people canceling their travel plans, it is a great time to travel with kids. Less lines and crowds in theme parks and attractions and deep discounts!

Get out and travel, but be diligent with your health.

Carry on people.

Don't give in to the fear!
