This weekend we “fall back” which can mess with our bodies. We crave warmth and things that make us feel comfortable. This is the same with what we want to eat as well. Comfort food, as we lovingly call certain dishes, give us that which we are craving.
With the shorter days we also need more vitamin D this time of year and one great source of that comes from mushrooms! Mushrooms are so versatile and work in every dish imaginable. Everything from soups and salads to main dishes.
Today, I am sharing one of our family favorites that is full of mushrooms and is a twist on a classic comfort food, my Chicken and Portobello Mushroom Pot Pie! Enjoy one this weekend and all winter long.
