I will be 38 years young when my third baby boy arrives and I am now in better shape than in my 20s. About a year ago my husband and I decided enough was enough with feeling tired and unhealthy, so we decided to do something about it. I reached out to a friend who is a trainer and first started to focus on our nutrition. As a result we both lost about 40 lbs each. Feeling so good we decided to take it to the next level together as a couple and started weight training. With the combination of amazing nutrition and holding to a training schedule we both became healthier than we could have ever imagined. In December 2017 we found out we were expecting our third child, another boy. I was determined to continue my training with the permission of my OB, which she was on board with. Because of my daily focus to eat the right foods for myself and baby as well as my commitment to weight training I have been unstoppable this pregnancy. I remodeled our rental home adding a bedroom and bath, building a wall solo. I have never built a wall in my life and there is no way my body would have held up before getting into shape. I have been told so many times, "be careful you are pregnant," "slow down, you are pregnant," and so many other comments. Today I understand my body and when it needs TLC and when it is ready to rock it. I listen to what it tells me and abide by that. But it is strong, I am strong and this baby is going to be strong and healthy! I am 27 weeks and not planning to slow down any time soon. I will be a mama of three very active boys, can't stop now!
