A free writing class? Wait.

We know what you're thinking, there's nothing free.

But what if we told you that there is a kindergarten teacher who used her expertise and spent months of her personal time during the pandemic to put together a writing resource for parents of young children?

This teacher is an expert in the area of children's writing, having taught teachers, parents and of course children off all ages in her 31 years in the classroom.

She noticed parents struggling during remote learning sessions -- especially when it came to teaching young children how to write, so she got to work and put together a video:

"Writing Masterclass for Parents of Young Children."

This class is on Youtube and is free to watch. There are zero expectations to sign up or join anything. Watch as you wish. The video is long---almost 3 hours, but you can jump around the time stamps choosing your area you wish to learn about:

How to motivate your child to write.
How to praise your child for writing (that is terrible!)
How to help the reluctant child.
What are the writing levels that all children go through to become writers?
What is the current research around children and writing?
Is there any research about parenting during a pandemic?

IF your time is short--yes, for all of us--go to the video and click the time stamp for a clip on parenting during the pandemic--it's near the end of the video. It might be your favorite part...

I know a lot about this teacher, because I am this teacher.
