I was placed on bedrest a few days before my father-in-law’s funeral.

After 3 weeks of bed rest at home and 3 weeks of bed rest in the hospital, with some AMAZING antepartum nurses and the love and support of my husband and parents, it was everything I could do to convince the doctors to not deliver her at 31 weeks.

My, now 3 year old, Markie Mae was born at 34 weeks at St. Mary’s Medical Center in WPB, FL.

Markie was delivered in an emergency c-section, weighing in at 3 lbs, 8 oz and 17.5 inches long.

We were so blessed that she was only in the NICU for 3 weeks. We spent every minute we were allowed to be with her in the NICU. It was really hard, but the nurses in the NICU really showed us a lot! This was our first child and we didn’t know what to expect especially having a preemie!

She is a big sister now to an almost 2 year old sister and such a great little girl!!!
