Bacon is always tasty but rub it with a blend of light brown sugar and ground chili powder and it bakes into a crispy, smoky spectacular

Brown Sugar & Spice Bacon

  • Yield: Serves 4-6
  • Prep Time: 5 min

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 pound bacon (about 16 slices)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with foil. Spray foil lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix brown sugar and chili powder together in a large bowl. Add bacon and toss until bacon is evenly coated with the spices.
  3. Arrange bacon slices on prepared baking sheet. Cook until bacon is crisp and brown, 15-17 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and lay bacon on paper towels to drain.
