It's easy to make the same PB&J sandwich every day for school lunch and the same few meals our picky eaters will actually eat. But what if, your kids learned to taste new foods that were simple to make? That's exactly what I'm trying to do, at MOMables, one recipe and one meal at a time.

Hi! I'm Laura Fuentes, mom to 3 kids and a recovering short-order cook! A few years ago, I decided I would no longer cater to my picky eaters and began creating simple school lunch and family recipes that made for happier -and more nutritious- meals.

I share those recipes on my blog, Laura Fuentes, YouTube Channel, and over at MOMables (my company). My goal has always been simple: to help parents feel good about their efforts in the kitchen by helping them make fresh school lunches and meals their kids will love.

Motherhood reinvented my career. I ditched my corporate job and got busy in the kitchen -literally! I wanted and needed to learn how to make fresh, real food meals without spending an eternity in the kitchen.

Now, 3 Cookbooks later, I feel like I've covered almost every aspect of making fresh food a possibility, with easy shortcuts and kitchen tips that will help you save time and money on wasted food. I love a great kitchen hack!

In 2014, I competed on Food Network's Rewrapped. While I wasn't the most talented and trained chef, my creativity set me apart and ultimately helped me WIN!

And in 2015, I had the opportunity to come on the TODAY show to present alongside Carson Daly with Back to School Lunch Hacks. You can watch that segment here, I start at minute 4:10.

My pancake recipes are some of the most loved recipes by my YouTube viewers. What's not to love about pancakes? Plus, whenever I'm creating a pancake video, my kids always volunteer to be in them.

Although, once the camera starts rolling, sometimes my little guy gets a little shy. If there is one thing that I've learned by producing a few hundred videos is that flexibility and great attitude are key, and some of our best moments are often caught when the camera isn't focused on us (check out the bloopers).

I consider myself a very practical cook, which is what I hope comes across my videos and all the recipes that I share in all of my channels. I often recreate my favorite recipes I love to eat at restaurants, because with 3 kids eating out is not only expensive but it's a juggle!

And finally, if there is one thing most people know me for are my simple tips to pack school and office lunches. After all, it was my own struggle to pack my daughter's lunches every day for school, that inspired MOMables.com. Thanks to her, I now help over 1M monthly visitors and have a community of 80 thousand parents!

I can't wait to share more simple recipes on the show. Thanks for the opportunity to share some of my favorite things with you. And remember, you don't have to be a chef to make great meals for your family, just have fun!
