Life on this planet depends entirely on water. We as humans, as well as other organisms living on Earth, need water to survive. We also need to replenish the body with the same amount of fluid that we lose. Science suggests that cells within the human body are surrounded by fluid, and most of that material is made up of water. Even the cells themselves contain a 70 to 80% water content. In short, water is the main requirement for all living beings, and the ultimate savior of life.Water is always moving throughout the human body never resting. It’s responsible for keeping our bodily systems functional and active. There are even studies showing that bodily information transfer utilizes water as it’s conduit.

As a result of all these facts and the many more not mentioned here, it’s no wonder why it’s critical that we reflect upon the quality of water that we are drinking. There are countless studies and reports showing that the majority of the water being consumed these days is contaminated in some manner.

A recent estimate shows that more than 768 million people worldwide do not have direct access to potable drinking water. People are consuming dirty water regularly and are endangering their health. This dilemma is most commonly observed in children, as their body is not able to fight off harmful bacteria and viruses. Medical health reports suggest that most diseases found in children these days are due to unsafe water consumption. This has lifelong effects and prevents communities from thriving.

In most rural areas, families move to the nearest rivers and streams to collect water for their regular household needs. They are not aware of the terrible health effects of contaminated water. Exposure to germs and parasites in this water make them prone to many types of diseases. Therefore, people need to find a concrete solution to deal with the worldwide water crisis as access to clean drinking water should be considered a basic human right.

Is your water safe?

First off, you should ask yourself: Are you drinking clean and safe water? It’s not uncommon these days most of the water sources are contaminated due to some sort of industrialization. The water coming out of your tap can be contaminated with heavy metals and chemicals, and you would be completely unaware. In addition, the water may be lacking in mineral content, or conversely, have extremely high levels of a mineral such as calcium. These must be considered, and it’s important that you have you drinking water tested to know what’s in there.

Unfiltered water also contains many harmful parasites and bacteria. These are some of the main causes for diarrhea in children. And while some chemicals in your water may be worse than others, chemicals such as glyphosate and atrazine are pesticides that can be commonly found.

A survey shows that dirty water is the biggest threat to children's lives in the country of Afghanistan. Similar cases are also seen in other countries, especially in rural areas where people are less aware of the harmful effects of dirty water. In such situations, it is necessary to get a water filter for your home.

Why do you need a water filter?

If you are drinking unsafe and impure water regularly, it can affect your child's natural growth. And at the same time, your family should be made aware of the risk of potential illnesses. In such situations, it may be the best idea to install a good quality water filter at home.
