Do you know the difference between a Quiche and a Frittata? No…alright I’ll tell you because I just learned the difference myself.
A Quiche is made by adding ingredients such as eggs and heavy cream, which gives it a creamy consistency when baked. Quiche usually has a crust, but it doesn’t have to.
Frittatas have no crust and very little milk or cream. Frittatas are cooked first on the stovetop, then finished in the oven or broiler.
We make a lot of quiches in our house! They are nice to have on hand as a snack or a guiltless meal.
But this frittata was just as satisfying! We ate it for breakfast and as a little snack throughout the days.
2 TBSP half and half
2 tsp chopped fresh thyme
2 ounces of graded asiago cheese (about ¾ of a cup)
1 cup of halved cherry or grape tomatoes
♥Preheat your broiler to high
♥Mix together half and half, thyme, and eggs
♥Broil for about 4 minutes until partially set
♥Remove from broiler and arrange tomatoes and sprinkle cheese over the top
♥Broil for another 2-3 minutes until top is light browned and eggs are set
My kids even surprised me and loved this one. I wasn’t sure if the tomatoes would turn them off but nope!
