If you're a new parent like me, then you probably don't have a lot of extra time for arts and crafts...Aren't we all just trying to keep the baby alive?! And, if you are on a tight budget...because let's face it, kids are expensive--this is the perfect Valentine's craft for you and your baby. You can even gift it to that special someone.

Heart Footprints for Her

Here is what you need:

  • Your baby!
  • Non-toxic washable red ink pad for kids
  • 1 5x7 piece of card stock
  • 1 5x7 frame/photo display
  • Baby wipes

1. Place your baby in a comfortable position with his/her feet easily accessible. (For less mess and easy cleanup, layer baby wipes under your baby's feet)

2. Place your baby's left foot firmly on the red ink pad and press down until his/her foot is covered with ink.

3. Next, press your baby's left foot down on the card stock with your baby's toes angled toward the top left corner of the paper. For the best results, hold your baby's foot in place for 5 seconds.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the baby's right foot. Angle their toes toward the top right corner of the paper.

TADA! Now you can frame this adorable piece of art to give it to that special someone.

(Disclaimer: Please read ink pad labels and warnings before using on your baby. Some ink pads are not safe for children. I used a non-toxic washable ink pad.)
