A couple of secret ingredients make my peach cobber the first dessert to go away at gatherings. The crust is crispy on top when the peach filling has just the right sweetness.

Die for Peach Cobbler

Prep Time: 6 hr Cooking Time: 30 hr

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup flour
  • dash of sea salt
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 cups canned or fresh sliced peaches
  • ½ cup sugar

Preparation

  1. Mix flour, salt and baking powder in large bowl
  2. Add 1 cup sugar
  3. Slowly stir in milk and whipping cream (this makes the batter)
  4. Melt butter in baking dish
  5. Pour batter over melted butter (do not stir)
  6. Mix the peaches and ½ cup sugar thoroughly and carefully pour over the batter
  7. Bake 40 - 50 min at 350 degreees (until top browns)
  8. Serve with ice cream (optional)
