Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Challenge: WHO Are You?

You’re Exactly Where You’re Supposed To Be

As a parent of any number of kids, life can be hectic.

It’s non stop running around.

It’s making sure everyone is ok - physically, emotionally, and mentally.

It’s meals, groceries, cleaning up.

It’s going to bed exhausted, then not being able to sleep because the thought, “Was I enough today?” replaces our rest.

There was a time every second of my life became so much about my kids and my husband, that I lost myself.

I found myself saying, "I don't even know who I am anymore. Is this what I'm meant to do for the rest of my life?"

Don't get me wrong, I love my amazing kids and my husband, but I wasn't doing anything for ME. I had no idea what else I should be doing or if there WAS anything else for me to do to have purpose.

So I started to compare my life to everything I saw.

It's so easy to get lost in this world, isn't it?

We are in a time where we can witness the success of everyone around us through social media. We get on Instagram or Facebook and BAM!

Melissa is celebrating her promotion in her amazing job.

Jennifer is vacationing in Antigua with her new boyfriend.

Christina just posted a perfect family picture with her perfect husband and four kids in front of their perfect house.

I wonder how many of us feel this way. If this is you, keep reading.

I get it. And you’re not alone.

But here's the good news: You’re here for a reason.

Where you are right now is not all there is.

It's just a moment in time. A season.

Did you know that by just being BORN, you are a miracle?

Seriously. You are a living miracle.

Let's look at some (approximate) odds in life:

Your odds of being struck by lightning are 1 in 576,000.

Your odds of winning the MegaMillions lottery are about 1 in 175,000,000.

Those numbers make these things seem totally impossible in life, right?

We think, “Ok, so I don’t have to worry about ever getting struck by lightening or winning the lottery. Check.”

Well allow me to enlighten you on how you, yourself, are a seemingly impossible miracle.

The odds of you being born are 1 in 400 trillion.

TRILLION, people. Trillion.

With odds like that, you have to look at life differently.

I can go even deeper than that.

Think about everything that went into you being here today…

First, your parents met.

We meet people all the time, but your parents spoke to each other.

Not only did these two random people talk to each other, they talked long enough to get close and eventually (you know what) to result in your mom getting pregnant (and I won't even get into the odds of the whole sperm reaching the egg scenario).

But it doesn't even start there.

Before your parents met, their parents had to meet and their parents parents had to meet and it goes back thousands and thousands of years.

Mind boggling right? So do you see?

You are here for a reason.

Our time here is very brief, but our days are filled with purpose.

A conversation with you can change someone's heart.

A smile from you can change someone's day.

And your story can change someone’s life.

Everything you are doing in your days here is the start of a trickle effect into future generations for 1,000’s of years to come.

So when you’re feeling stuck or lost, remember, you have a purpose and this exact moment you’re in is for a reason.

This life, your family, YOU… it’s all a miracle.

You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.
