Have you ever found yourself in a position where you are questioning who is more mature....your 18 month old child or your 65 y/o mother?

Yes grandparents, too, throw temper tantrums...kick & scream...to get their way. I have found myself in this position a lot recently between my own mother & my 72 y/o mother-in-law.

The level of tantruming keeps doubling down.

We started with each grandparent getting mad if the other saw the kids, then they wouldn't speak to us for weeks. To this point where they are both now extorting us in a mental way. Now they are both using the "I'm going to die any day" line to get us to bring the kids to them. Neither one will drive to us, but expect us to pack the kids up and drive hours to them. So here we are driving our 2hr drive one way to see my mother since she dropped that line on me and ignored me for 3 weeks. Why did she ignore me for 3wks? Because I posted on Facebook that my husband & I finally got a babysitter. Our first date night in 18 months. Yep, you totally read that right. #tantrum

How does one handle this predicament? I can't be the only one in this position and I don't want it to continue to make me resent them. Help?! #bringmeallyoursuggestions
