Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

I don’t know who I am anymore.

If you would’ve told me a few years ago that such little things would make me tear up, I would’ve laughed.

But, my baby.

He’s reading.

He’s becoming more independent.

He’s trying to conquer his fears.

He’s growing way too fast.

And I’m so here for it.

But, with each passing phase and milestone, a little bit of my heart cracks and oozes.

I know he will always need me, but in a different way.

As mamas, the biggest thing to remember is to soak in these moments.

…to cheer them on when they are brave.

…to encourage them to keep trying.

…to help them when they fall.

…to let them know we are here for the entire journey.

And to pick up the little pieces of our cracked heart and glue it back together so we don’t miss the next big thing.

Don’t miss it, mama.

Welcome to motherhood - the ultimate tear fest.
