It really seems like the last thing. I'm not worried about my toddler learning how to fully button a shirt or even put on strappy sandals. We're still far away from utensil feeding, but hey, if you can get food in your pie hole with those grubby hands, that's all that matters.

When our kid was little, we actually commented on how calm she would be on the diaper changing table. It was comforting, something we did 10+ times a day, and she didn't even mind lying on a little map over a cold hard tile counter. We would kiss her, and Type A mom would wipe that poopy bottom clean. Reeeal clean.

We bought a little potty and encourage her to sit on it...but being lazy parents didn't bother to take her diaper off. We wouldn't want an ACTUAL mess now would we. Plus we have amazing diapers that last 12 hours. She's sometimes fine to sit on it once in awhile, diaper ON, AFTER the fact. #ParentFail

Moms who want me to relax say, no adult isn't potty trained. That never makes me feel better.
