With all of the news and daily recalls, many of us don’t have time to search pages upon pages of items to see if any of them are things we actually own. Little Tikes Toddler Swings

Little Tikes is recalling 540,000 toddler swings after receiving 140 reported incidents. The plastic seat in question can crack or break, posing a fall hazard. In all, 39 children have been injured, including two who have fallen and broken their arms.

According to a class action lawyer in Orlando, the recalled seat is a pink 2-in-1 Snug ‘n Secure toddler swing. It is connected to four yellow ropes and comes with a pink restraint guard meant to prevent children from falling out of the swing. They were sold for around $25 at WalMart, Toys “R” Us, and online at littletikes.com. The affected model number is 615573.

Consumers who own this model of swing are asked to stop using the product immediately. They should contact Little Tikes directly to determine whether the swing is safe to use, at (800) 321-0183.

Energizer Battery-Powered Xbox One Chargers

The recall list has added another battery that could lead to overheating. This time it is Energizer’s “Xbox One 2X Smart Chargers” that have made the list. After 24 reported incidents of the battery chargers overheating and deforming the charger’s plastic cover, PDP (Performance Designed Products LLC) has recalled over 130,000 of these chargers. Authorities are concerned that the chargers could potentially lead to a burn and/or fire hazard.

These chargers cost around $40 and were made in China. Sold in 2016-2017, the Energizer logo is printed on the label of the units, which can charge two Xbox controllers at once. The item number 048-052-NA can be found on the bottom of the charger.

Owners of the recalled item are urged to stop use immediately. Those who own a similar model are warned to only use the product if they are in the same room because of the potential fire hazard. PDP is offering a full refund and can be contacted at: (800) 263-1156.

Disney Nightlights and Magic Wands

Disney has made the recall list with defective “Happy Holidays! Mickey Mouse” nightlights. These contain a glitter filled liquid that can leak onto an electrical outlet and cause a fire. One such case of a fire has been reported. Walt Disney has promised consumers a $25 refund for the inconvenience.

Disney’s toy wand recall has reached 8 states and were made available for purchase at “Disney on Ice” and “Disney Live” shows in 2016. The spinning wands are 18-inches tall and have the lot number printed on the bottom. Two lots with potential defects have been identified: Lot 954544 and Lot 954603.
