Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

When I was young I remember weekly trips to the library where my mom had us pick out what interested us and each day throughout the summer we were prompted to stop what we were doing and read. She put on a timer for a half hour and expected us to delve into our books. At first my brother and I would complain but within minutes of opening the book we were happily on our way through Narnia or whatever adventure the book led. This did wonders for stimulating our imaginings and we often exceeded our half hour for an hour or more.

I am happily looking forward to the day when my son starts to read. Books shelter hero's, magical experiences and life lessons. For now my 5 month old sits on my lap each day and we read for ten or so minutes. He is happy to hear me talk to him.

OK yes this photo was a posed moment but if I was in my pj's it would be very accurate to our real life. A few favorite books I read to Edison include Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter and the Storm Whale by Benji Davies.
