Phillip James with Wild Harvest Farms is an entrepreneur who is a vertical farmer. Instead of the traditional farming concept of the flat landscape, with soil that is depleted of most minerals; vertical farming makes those concepts obsolete. It's a year round operation, with a climate controlled environment.
Phillip also believes it's important to employ people year round. The positive impact Phillip and his vertical farm has had on Salt Lake City so far has been amazing. His vertical farming operation employs at-risk adults, in buildings that would typically be underutilized or even vacant.
