Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

My name is Heather. Before I became a mother to 3 children, I had an individual identity. I was a career woman, making darn good money in outside sales. I had always wanted a good career for myself. I had the best of intentions of going back to work once I had my first child, but then something changed. She changed me. I learned what true, selfless love was for the first time in my life. It was then that I gave up that great career, earning that darn good money, to be a stay at home mom. Pretty hard to swallow at first, but after the birth of 2 more children and 6 years later, I had finally acclimated to being a stay at home mom.

That yearning to have a career for myself, and be an entrepreneur has never left me. Only now, I hope to have the flexibility to work from home and still take care of my family. I have ALWAYS loved fitness & exercise, and with all 3 of my pregnancies worked out until the day before I gave birth to them. I grew up on a farm, living on dirt roads and as a kid, I always exercised. I would take off and go for a run, by myself, or ride my bicycle everyday. I remember each day coming home and playing basketball by myself, rain or shine. I have 2 older brothers that helped out with the family farm business, so I was really left to entertain myself.

I've always been an athlete and its been my passion for as long as I can remember. I regularly workout at least 5 days a week and love feeling strong & healthy. Its the one thing that I make time for, for myself! Its the one thing that will always remain in my identity, and I think its a pretty great one for my kids to see me doing. Hopefully my love for fitness transfers down to my children and they see a strong, healthy mommy.

I've had one lightbulb moment in my life. Upon contemplating what I was going to do for a job, once the youngest child goes to school, it dawned on me that I wanted to create my own business, starting now! I have always wanted to be my own boss, teaching and motivating others, what I love most-Fitness & Health. I have started a blog called A Well Paced Life, where I motivate other moms that you can be healthy & fit at the same time, without excuses! I've hung onto that one thing that has always been me and always will be. It is my dream to grow my blog, doing what I love most and create a business out of it! I didnt know one single thing about running a website or blogging, and in my first year I have learned more than I ever dreamed! I have received personal messages and emails from women asking for fitness advice, or just letting me know how much I have inspired them. That alone makes me feel successful.

I hope you visit my blog, A Well Paced Life for some inspiration and motivation!
