Single Mother of 2 and the Entrepreneurial Life

I've spent the last 10 years as a single mother of 2 children. Living in a community that is predominantly white, and also Mormon, has made this a little bit uncomfortable sometimes. I'm not complaining or even trying to be negative at all about the community I live in. I chose to live here because it's a great place to raise kids.

With all that being said, I'm also an entrepreneur. I started my health magazine HarcourtHealth 4 years ago, and it's been hard. I have to rely on several people on a daily basis that sometimes fall short of what I need them to be doing. And when my team falls short, I end up losing revenue.

I'll be honest. I have a hard time balancing being a single mom, trying to provide for my kids, and being a good boss.

What I'm wondering is this:

1. How do you balance life as a single mother, while working full-time?

2. How do you interact with your community if you're part of a very small minority?
