The holidays become a stressful time for all. There are pressures to shop, cook, decorate, etc. You can make lists and have plans but then the unexpected happens. The call from daycare, she threw up.
And you immediately run through the 12,000 things that are not going to get done today, the fact that the other 5 people in the house are going to get this, do I have enough laundry detergent, are the toilets clean, how many towels are in the closet, do we have 7-UP, and on and on. Then once your freak out moment is over, and you have cleaned the vomit out of your hair you stop and remember that the reason for the season isn't all the stress and hoopla, it is relaxing and spending time with family so you snuggle up with the little, enjoy the unexpected downtime, and binge on Holiday Movies!
