Onions and sickness??

As crazy as it sounds, I cut large onions in half and place them around the house. This idea has been around since the 1900's to absorb bacteria in the air. If you have the flu, they say to cut a white onion in half and put it next to the bed or wherever that sock person is laying. They say you can also cut them in half and put them on your feet (inside of the onion against the skin) and put socks on to keep them in place. It absorbs the bacteria on your body and cleanses your body. What about the smell? It goes away in a day and be sure to replace the onion every 3 months. I've been doing this for a month or so and no one has gotten sick in my house (knock on wood) and I have 2 kids of my own, and watch 3 other kids. Sounds crazy I know but of it prevents flu and sickness I'm down!!
