Hi, I am Danielle Mosier, here (with permission) to tell the story of Miss Madilynn Grace.

On March 23, 2017, Jen and Mike Cunha were blessed with their little Angel, Maddie Grace. Despite all efforts to prevent early labor, Maddie was born at 23 weeks and weighed just over one pound. Since birth, Maddie has been under 24/7 medical care in the NICU at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. She was born with underdeveloped lungs, leading to her diagnosis of Bronchial Pulmonary Dysplasia (BPD). While being very sick, it has not taken a toll on her joyful and loving personality. She is full of little giggles and smiles, especially when she gets daily visits from her mommy, daddy, and three siblings.

Jennifer spends many days and nights next to Maddie's side, watching her O2 stats to ensure Maddie is where she needs to be. When she is not at the NICU, Jennifer is glued to watching her baby's live stream from her phone! This wonderful mother simply cannot get enough of this bundle of joy. She dreams of the day that she can welcome Maddie into their home and not have to spend another night away from each other.

While caring for Maddie, Jennifer also has three other children at home. She tries to balance her role in the NICU as well as with her children at home. Despite the sleepless nights, Jennifer and her husband, Mike, remain full of faith and dedicated to their children.

However, through this journey, finances have been tight due to the increased medical bills and loss of wages from missed work. Due to this, we have come together as a community and created a Community Support Page for the Cunha Family. We welcome anyone to join our family!
