Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

Challenge: Reducing Holiday Stress

It's easier to do my college homework than convince mom in my happiness.

Family and holidays. What could be better?

My answer is EVERYTHING. Maybe, all of us have heard a story of neighbors' success, their more active daughter/son (choose relevant). And this simple answer saying "oh honey, we love you anyway". If not, take my congrats.

But the story is about reducing stress, not producing.

Years ago when my parents tried to help me with my assignments we found out my independence. It was like my personal challenge to do everything by myself. While parents haven't got this idea like a normal because "children have no idea how things work", we were struggling.

After a few years of such a "perfect" home education, I've became a little nervous child (Weird, yeah?). There were no other options discussed - counselor advised to visit a psychologist.
As a child I was afraid, parents thought that I'll be finally healed and couldn't wait to get my calming pills.

And now just image the surprise - a psychologist Mr. Coulson hasn't found any deviation. Well, anyway our family was prescribed a therapy.

These few visits were the happiest time for me - parents have to admit my "capability"... After that accident things went better. My marks also became higher and the only subject I couldn't do alone we've learned with my father together. He provided me an algrebra homework help and I backed him a pie to thank.

But the salt of this story is alone time. Stress could be caused by lots of reasons. However, if it's a family deals my advice is modesty simple: Just give your sibling an alone time to chill out.

My personal experience shows that it works.

Now I'm at home and what is more interesting I have a fair right to do whatever I want on holiday (until it's not forbidden by the law). Thus my parents know that I'm a freelance writer at writing service MyEssayWriting. Moreover they're proud of me as I've bought all gifts for them by my own. Father even asked whether I can find some writing jobs for him.

Growth and understanding are really great things.
