This time of year is stressful for anyone. As a mom of two, a work from home job, plus doing all the duties it is easy to feel overwhelmed. I need to have everything in writing. My planner is my friend, before, during, and after the holidays. I plan to do all my baking when on the weekend when my husband can help out. That doesn't mean I don't let my kids help it just means I have an extra set of hand. Decorating and cleaning takes time. I do it after Thanksgiving when my oldest is off of school so she can play with my 2 year old. Of course there are fights to be stopped, some tears, and an end of the day glass of wine for you. I mean you just clean, decorated, and played super mom! You deserve it! We are very lucky now to live in the age of computers where shopping is easy. But wrapping is not! I am blessed with family who will help out with wrapping or playing with the girls so I can get it accomplished. You can only do so much when they sleep! Some outside help is needed! Especially when I have to wrap not only for my kids but some family too. We all do it we all just have to find what works for us!
