My first C-section was exactly five years ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Throughout my pregnancy, I always assumed that only special cases end up in c-sections but then again, it happened to means I realized it can happen to anyone. My son's heart rate was decreasing after induction and they had to perform an emergency c-section. He came out and was rushed to the NICU where he stayed for a day or so since his sugar levels were low. It was a difficult time because it was unexpected but I couldn't be more thankful to the NICU staff.
