Baby Mine

She’s a big girl now. She reminds me every day, at least a dozen times a day. Since she was born I would sing to her as she falls asleep... “Baby mine don’t you cry/ Baby mine wipe your eyes/ rest your head close to my heart/ never to part/ baby you’re mine...” 🎶 Now she presses her finger on my lips and says “No Mama, BIG girl mine”...

.

I did not wish away any part of her life so far. I loved her as a baby. I love her as a big girl. And I will love her through every stage for the rest of her life. I won’t rush it or force it or wish it away. I will just be in it. All of it. All in all of it, I will cherish her in all her stages. Because I never know when the last time for anything with her will be. 💕
