Full disclosure: I love holidays.

Even when they make me a little crazy.

I know that I have such a short window on being able to convince my children that a bunny waltzed into our house and filled baskets with goodies for them, and I intend to capitalize on these impressionable years. I want them to wake up on Easter morning to baskets overflowing with goodies. More is more! Sorry not sorry, in spite of throwing away my daughter’s toys, we really aren’t minimalists around here.

Problem is, gifts for allll the holidays really starts to add up. And candy is such an easy & cheap way to fill those baskets to the brim, amiright?

However, my kids are 3 years old and 7 months old. The 3 year old is sure to get plenty of candy egg hunting and the 7 month old is still a toothless little lad. And in general? I don’t like providing my children with candy for no good reason. That’s what grandparents are for.

I’m also a big believer in shopping way in advance for things – because inevitably the plague will hit my house on the day that I’ve set aside to shop. So in addition to a few goodies found at my old standby (the dollar spot at Target) the Easter Bunny tells me that my kids will see some of these items in their baskets this year.
