It is an awful lot of work being a mom and even though it is the best job you will ever hope to have, it can leave you looking tired and run down. It is a common misconception that in order to look your best, you have to have a standing weekly appointment at the beauty salon. Moms simply do not have the time or the money to do that, so we must rely on ourselves and here are some tips and hairstyles that will help you look your best while taking on the day.

Make Braids Work for You
Braids are generally the first thing little girls learn to do with their hair. As we get older, we tend to abandon braids in search of a more sophisticated style. Braids however can work in your favor especially if you are short on time. Wavy hair may be the goal, but when time is not on your side in the busy mornings, turn to braids. Braid your hair into a tight braid at night and by morning, you will have naturally wavy hair.

Fine Accessories that Work for You
As busy moms, we sometimes forget about our own need to accessorize. We are so busy getting everyone else’s hair perfectly managed, that we forget about ourselves. Luckily, there is a new trend from an old favorite. Head bands are back in style. A simple headband with a coordinating color to your outfit will allow you to look trendy without much fuss.

Tools for the Job
There are an endless number of hair styling tools to choose from today and many of them take very little effort to use. Take the time before you find yourself with a hair disaster to learn the right tools for your type of hair. Even if you are not a certified cosmetologist, the knowledge of what to use for your type of hair will save you time and a considerable amount of money without having to head out to the beauty salon all the time.

Skip the Wash
It is a huge misconception among people today that the solution to healthy hair is to wash it every day without fail. The truth is that washing your hair every day strips vital oils away leaving your hair dull and difficult to manage. Skip a day or two and simply do not worry about washing your hair. Some dry shampoos can even allow for you to go an entire week without washing your hair, so relax and worry less about the constant need to wash your hair.

We mothers are too critical of ourselves and want to be perfect. No one is perfect no matter what their social media site says about them and we all have to fine shortcuts just to get through the day. Take these tips to heart and find yourself with a less stressful existence and much more time with the most important people in your life, your family.
