Parents, you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers.

Or just as likely, we’ve got questions and you’ve got answers.

27 years ago, my husband and I were blessed with twin premies! They were due in July, they came April 14, 1990, 28 weeks early. They were monozygotic twins, same sac, with inner and outer. We knew something was wrong as I went into labor at 20 weeks but we held them in for 6 more weeks. My boys were born and immediately hooked up to all life saving measures, both were vented and they weighed 2 lbs 2 oz (Jarred) and 2lbs 1 oz (Jameson), their lowest birth weights were 1lb 13 oz and 1 lb 12 oz. They came home from the hospital at a whopping 4lbs 5 oz each after being in the NICU for 2 months. Jameson suffered a stroke in utero and is still in our care 27 years later. He is blind, has CP, epilepsy, seizures, and is cognitively delayed, those are his disabilities! However, he is happy, verbal, can walk, and snow ski and is loved by everyone who meets him! We are truly blessed to have him. His brother, Jarred, despite being an ex 2 lb premie, has his Masters degree, a great job and a lovely fiancee! As parents we couldn't be happier for both of them. Life, for Jameson, has been a struggle all his life but he never gives up and keeps moving forward. We, as parents, continue to fight for him, also. When faced with these challenges in life, we rise with the help of our Lord who has been with us every step of the way!
