When I had 5 children at home and only one of us working I had to find ways to safe. Every time I served vegetables to the family there was the good juice and a few vegetables. There were always a few pieces of meat. I would gather these up and put them in a container I kept in the freezer. When the container was full I made vegetable soup. I would use left over rice and left over mashed potato's witch thickened it and the kids loved it especially if I served it with homemade warm bread.
